Emily Burns Rapport – Yoga instructor

Emily is a native of the Midwest, but inching toward the proud status of New Yorker after living in the city for close to ten years (and now, Brooklyn). Emily moved to New York after graduating with her BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. Her past life in NYC included a career as an HR professional as well as an event planner at SoulCycle. Fitness was the life-giving distraction throughout her experience in the corporate world. She had practiced yoga casually for years, and grew up practicing classical ballet and competing on the dance team. But it wasn’t until significant events occurred in her life that she stepped back from the everyday grind and took time to see the big picture. She wanted to begin teaching yoga. She decided to become a serious yoga student and graduated from the renowned 200-hour YogaWorks Teacher Training with Chrissy Carter.
